Trace Software takes an additional step in photovoltaic design with the new version of PV software, archelios™ PRO
Trace Software International, and its solar subsidiary Cythelia Energy are pleased to announce the release of the latest version of the archelios™ PRO photovoltaic software range.
archelios™ PRO allows to size any type of solar project, from a few kWp to several dozen MWp, on roof, shade, or on the ground.
archelios™ PRO, together with archelios™ CALC, is part of archelios™ Suite allowing you to manage the complete design of your photovoltaic project, from the feasibility project to the calculation notes of the installation.
A full range for PV professionals
As PV professionals do not all have the same design needs, Trace Software has launched in June 2020 a new extended archelios™ PRO range adapted to the size of their projects and their activity (study offices, installers, developers …)

Depending on the version, fast design, computing power, precision in production simulation, 3D environment, installation optimization or 3D tools for design are all features that equip users with a powerful and unique tool in the PV software market.
More computational and design possibilities on the 2021 version.
Among all the changes made on the 2021 version, users will be able to benefit from more possibilities for taking into account regulatory parameters, such as limiting the power injected or production thresholds, but also for optimizing large-scale solar power projects.
Optimizations for large power plants
For solar power plant designers, the capacity and performance of the calculations have been greatly optimized to enable the management of larger projects. (up to 100 MWp, a gain of a factor of 10 compared to the previous version). In addition, exporting and synchronizing between SketchUp and archelios™ PRO is faster and project backup is now non-blocking (possibility to work during backup).
Limiting the power injected
Users will now simply be able to meet the mandatory requirements of certain projects. Consideration of the limitation of injected power is integrated and displayed on the reports. The resulting production losses can also be visualized.
Production thresholds – Adaptations to tariff order 2021
The software incorporates the consideration of the evolution of tariffs by production threshold.
Weather database update
The default weather databases (MeteoNorm) have been updated to incorporate more up-to-date and reliable data. When creating the project, the software automatically offers the most recent weather station.
archelios™ PRO study report models in Excel format (generated from e CSV report) are available to assist the designer in representing the data from his installation.
Thanks to the constant developments made on archelios™ PRO, Trace Software and Cythelia provide photovoltaic professionals with a tool that goes beyond the standard PV design. The software is positioned not only as a real project management tool but also as marketing support.
