DC Module : Direct Current
DC module for low-voltage installations.
The DC module “Direct current” , is a complementary module to elec calc™. It meets the sizing needs of auxiliary networks (control command) and general distribution, excluding those covered by specific standards or regulations (photovoltaic, rail traction, etc.).
With the DC module, take advantage of all the features of the elec calc™ software (manufacturers’ catalogs, drawing, layout, editions, exports, etc.) and develop the DC and AC parts of your electrical installation in a single project.
In the case of low-voltage networks, the applicable electrical installation standards are identical to those for AC networks, in particular those in the IEC 60364 series or their national versions. For the calculation of short-circuit currents, reference should be made to the IEC 61660 series of standards.

The following calculations are carried out in the same way as for AC installations, in accordance with the above-mentioned reference documents:
elec calc™ carries out all the checks required to ensure compliance with the reference documents and, where necessary, reports any alert or non-compliance points detected.
elec calc™ provides users with specific manufacturer catalogues for switching and protection devices used in DC. Users can also manage their own catalogues as for other components.
