elec calc™ offers the user to manage operating modes to simulate and control different installation configurations (normal operation, standby, maintenance …). Calculations are done for each operating mode and a synthesis mode displays the optimal equipment based on the most restrictive configuration for each component. Alerts and observations are shown on 4 levels: information messages, recommendations, errors or non-compliance, inconsistencies.

Unique on the calculation software market, elec calc™ 2016 offers users a complete freedom while designing electrical projects, meeting industry’s needs regarding design and control of increasingly complex installations.

For each project, users have the possibility to describe the geographical environment of the installation thanks to the Locations manager. Drawing contours and reports are available for each location.
The Locations manager allows a 7-level description in a project. Each location has a set of environment parameters such as altitude, air and soil temperature, risk of fire and risk of explosion.
User’s catalogs in addition to manufacturers’ catalogs
elec calc™ includes integrated manufacturers’ catalogs which are regularly updated.
In addition, elec calc™ now allows users to create their own equipment references, to be used within their calculations.
The generated calculation note simply includes the specific reference used.
Optimized and flexible editing, exporting and printing functions
elec calc™ allows the one-line diagram to be edited and exported in (synoptic or folios) PDF and DWG formats. A configurable calculation report can be edited in PDF format. The language in which the different documents are edited can be chosen independently of the interface language. elec calc™ 2016 is currently available in English, French, Spanish and Chinese. To facilitate and accelerate editing and project management, Excel export templates are also provided.
elec live™, a collaborative online tool
elec calc™ 2016 facilitates teamwork and project management by offering a real-time multi-user access. Furthermore, elec calc™ is compatible with elec live™, an additional Trace Software application, allowing to share projects on a browser, accessible from everywhere and on all type of devices (computer, tablet, smartphone).
This way, clients and providers can share projects, improve them, comment then in real time instead of sending emails.
