TRACE SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES THE ENTRY INTO ITS CAPITAL OF THE DISTRIBUTOR REXEL

10 September 2024

REXEL, a world expert in the professional distribution of products and services for the energy sector, is taking a minority stake in Trace Software.

This operation follows the implementation of a commercial partnership signed in 2020 for the distribution of the entire Trace Software offer – currently in France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

REXEL’s strategy is to offer its customers the tools and services associated with the purchase of electrical equipment. Trace Software’s solutions are necessary for the calculation and the choice of electrical equipment and are therefore essential in REXEL’s value chain. This acquisition is part of the worldwide implementation of this support strategy, which strengthens the offer in the commercial construction segment.

“Trace Software now offers the market highly educational modern products that will be essential tools for our customers. We have with Trace Software a common DNA, the profession of the electrician, innovation, and proximity to the customer. This 30-year-old publisher has remarkable agility that is complementary to the operation of Rexel France. His product vision has enabled him to be one of the leading electronics software companies in the world. Collaborating with Trace Software is perfectly in line with our strategy of supporting our customers and bringing them value in a sustainable way”

              Julien Neuschwander

Director of Innovation and Services Rexel France.

“My teams and I are extremely proud to welcome REXEL as a shareholder.  We are coming out of an intense period of research and development that enables us to offer modern software solutions that are undoubtedly the most sophisticated on the market. Our multi-manufacturer offering and our unique Open BIM solution were really decisive in Rexel France’s decision. This contract is a great reward and recognition for our research and development work and our vision of electrical installation design tools.  REXEL’s arrival in the capital is part of our desire to become the leader in electrical installation design and calculation tools in Europe.”
