Description
elec calc SOLAR allows you to design and size a photovoltaic installation as a complete electrical installation, from direct current through to AC usages and grid connection.
Built on the elec calc calculation engine, the software natively integrates the sizing of module strings, inverters and their MPPT inputs, together with the full associated electrical installation: switchboards, protections, cabling and site usages including EV charging, self-consumption and generic loads. Grid connection can be sized in low voltage or through an MV transformer.
Unlike standard PV simulation tools, which stop at the inverter or impose predefined circuit templates, elec calc SOLAR allows free-form modelling of the electrical architecture: every project reflects the installation exactly as it will be built, with no predefined scheme.
Engineering firms and installers work from a single model for the entire DC and AC sizing process, compliant with IEC 60364-7-712 and local low-voltage standards (AREI, BS, NEN, IEC).
