Trace Software International – France and Electric Power University (EPU) – Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote friendship and cooperation related to educational software license transfer.
In view of the current sanitary situation, the ceremony was virtually held in June 28th 2021. The MoU was signed simultaneously in the campus of EPU in Hanoi and in Trace Software International headquarter in France. To witness this event the Counsellor at the Embassy of France’s trade commission, introduced and supported for the cooperation between EPU and Trace Software.
EPU is now a public university with a multi-level and multi-discipline system, operating under the management of Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) and its main function is to provide high quality manpower at different training levels, for the power sector to satisfy society’s needs. With over 30 years of experience, Trace Software is a global actor in the publishing of software for design engineering with an undisputed expertise in electrical and photovoltaic installations.
Both parties have discussed and agreed on specific conditions and contributions in providing EPU lecturers and students with full version licences of elec calc™ and archelios™ PRO developed and edited by Trace Software.

Addressing at the MOU signing ceremony, the Vice Rector Dr Nguyen Le Cuong expressed his great honor to participate in this occasion. “I highly appreciate the contributions of Trace Software in providing software licenses elec calc™ and archelios™ PRO to our lecturers for academic purposes. This is an excellent opportunity for us to improve the quality of training and research and help our students have good tools to implement designing projects in power supply, solar power’’ said Dr. Nguyen Le Cuong.
Sharing at the MOU signing ceremony, Mr Etienne MULLIE, President of Trace Software International said “We are excited to be a part of the Vietnamese industry 4.0 transformation, not only via relationships with Vietnamese academic institutions, but also through partnerships with local firms. This is our first collaboration with EPU, and we plan to develop further in Vietnam”.
This collaboration between Trace Software International and EPU demonstrates EPU’s desire to embrace technologies that are the future of civil engineering and empower its students with innovative and high technology solutions. It is also a great opportunity to learn from each other and for Trace Software it is a significant milestone to develop future collaborations with Vietnam.
