To design and secure its photovoltaic and electrical installations, the company now relies on archelios and elec calc software from Trace Software. A pioneering company that focuses on quality above all else
Founded in 2005 in Battice by two partners who are passionate about renewable energy, including Samuel Bragard, ENERSOL has established itself as one of the major players in photovoltaics in Wallonia. At the time, solar panels could still be counted on the fingers of one hand. The company then made the bold choice to focus on reliability rather than the race for growth.
Twenty years later, the vision has turned into a lasting success: ENERSOL has become a structured SME with 120 employees, a turnover of more than 30 million euros and triple ISO certification (9001, 14001, 45001). Its expertise now extends from photovoltaic production to storage, electric mobility, heating and ventilation.
The company has also taken off internationally, with a subsidiary in Brazil with about sixty people and electrification programs carried out in Africa to supply schools, health centers and shops.
The B2B department: engineering at the heart of the project
Within the company, the B2B department embodies rigor and method. “We intervene with the customer from the moment we sign to take charge of the entire execution cycle,” explains Sébastien Lenertz.The team, made up of a dozen engineers and twenty specialized workers, ensures all the stages: studies, sizing, procurement, planning, acceptance and delivery of the complete file to the customer.
Each project follows a clear common thread: designing high-performance, safe and compliant installations, while guaranteeing transparent support.
Finding tools that meet the requirements of the field
In this search for efficiency, ENERSOL has gradually integrated Trace Software’s elec calc software into its electrical design process.
Faced with the diversity of configurations encountered and the requirements of international projects, the company needed tools capable of managing several repositories (RGIE, IEC and other standards) without constraint. ” ELEC Calc was a perfect fit for this multi-standard need,” he continues.
On the photovoltaic side, archelios PRO was a natural choice: simulation of production, fine compatibility between panels and inverters, taking into account shading and orientation of the modules, while integrating 3D modeling into SketchUp.
Dimensioning, simulating and guaranteeing
Today, archelios PRO is at the heart of the sizing of ENERSOL’s photovoltaic installations. ” We size the exact size of the installation according to the customer’s real needs, and we give them a complete report on the expected production ,” explains Sébastien Lenertz.This report is not theoretical: it serves as the basis for a contractual commitment when the customer opts for complete monitoring by the maintenance teams.
For its part, elec calc is involved in the general electrical dimensioning and the preparation of RGIE acceptance files. The tool makes it possible to calculate cable sections, protections, settings and synoptics with a level of detail adapted to each use. With elec calc, we have gained in speed, readability and homogeneity,” he sums up. “We can generate both a brief report for the panel builder and a complete file ready for acceptance. »
Gain in productivity and consistency
Over the years, the B2B team has optimized its use of both tools by developing its own libraries and templates. These models make it possible to standardize deliverables and considerably reduce study times, especially for repetitive installations. We have created standard libraries (transformer assemblies, general protections, recurring low-voltage switchboards) which allows us to work faster while guaranteeing consistency between projects,” says Sébastien Lenertz.
The visual and intuitive aspect of archelios PRO also facilitates communication with end customers: the 3D representation of the site and the clarity of the production report strengthen trust and understanding of the project.

For Sébastien Lenertz, the value of Trace Software tools is measured as much by their computing power as by their ergonomics.
The non-conformity management system is also appreciated: ” Unlike other software, elec calc does not block the calculation as soon as an anomaly is detected. He reports it while continuing the treatment. This is essential for us, who often work on existing installations. »
The satisfaction is the same on archelios: the numerous simulation options, the continuously updated hardware database and the SketchUp integration allow engineers to obtain accurate and immediately usable results. “And the support is always there if needed: responsive and efficient. »
