In 1990 Trace Software developed CADBASE, the first application in a long product line.
At the time it was a revolutionary application that allowed the creation and management of links between objects in a drawing and entries in a database.
This product became the engine for both our facilities management solutions and the parts list functionality in our mechanical and electrical solutions.
In 1991 DIMBASE, the first 2D parametric design tool for AutoCAD was released.
DIMBASE was the seed from which our mechanical and part library product lines would evolve.
The applications then evolved rapidly towards complete professional solutions with the TR-MECA, TR-ELEC and TR-PATRIM products.
In 1995 Trace Informatique became Trace Software as each product experienced increased sales within France and across Europe.
The recognition of the company's experience on an international level led to the signature an increasing number of contracts, notably with MICHELIN, the APAVE Group, SNR Bearings and the Corus Group for specific developments, but also with a growing number of CAD platform developers such as Autodesk, Dassault Systems and Unigraphics.
Continual investment in research and development in the three main activities of the company has placed our products among the best applications in the world.
The success of our products in each sector has now led to the creation of subsidiary companies specifically focussed on each market.
The three companies each benefit from the synergy between them in both technical and commercial/marketing aspects.

Our business, our culture
The use of IT and advanced development techniques for the creation of computer aided design and engineering systems entirely adapted to our clients' knowledge bases.
When designing our applications our development teams' primary goals are: The identification and implementation of productivity gains, particularly by providing enhanced functionality, simplicity and intuitiveness. Collaboration with established partners to better appreciate users' project aims, anticipate their problems, allow them to design more rapidly and manage more efficiently. The design of tools that function as an extension to the established working methodologies of designers or managers.
Our development teams are based in France and the team spirit of our organisation is very strong. The members are proud and driven by the same passion: the development and commercialisation of software applications used by the biggest companies in the world.
